 |
| سَبِّحِ اسْمَ رَبِّكَ الْأَعْلَى {١} |
1. (Muhammad), glorify the Name of your lord, the Most High, |
| الَّذِي خَلَقَ فَسَوَّىٰ {٢} |
2. Who has created (all things) proportionately, |
| وَالَّذِي قَدَّرَ فَهَدَىٰ {٣} |
3. decreed their destinies, and provided them with guidance. |
| وَالَّذِي أَخْرَجَ الْمَرْعَىٰ {٤} |
4. It is He who has caused the grass to grow, |
| فَجَعَلَهُ غُثَاءً أَحْوَىٰ {٥} |
5. then caused it to wither away. |
| سَنُقْرِئُكَ فَلَا تَنْسَىٰ {٦} |
6. We shall teach you (the Quran) and you will not forget it |
| إِلَّا مَا شَاءَ اللَّهُ ۚ إِنَّهُ يَعْلَمُ الْجَهْرَ وَمَا يَخْفَىٰ {٧} |
7. unless God wills it to be otherwise. He knows all that is made public and all that remains hidden. |
| وَنُيَسِّرُكَ لِلْيُسْرَىٰ {٨} |
8. We shall make all your tasks easy. |
| فَذَكِّرْ إِنْ نَفَعَتِ الذِّكْرَىٰ {٩} |
9. Therefore, keep on preaching as long as it is of benefit. |
| سَيَذَّكَّرُ مَنْ يَخْشَىٰ {١٠} |
10. Those who have fear of God will benefit |
| وَيَتَجَنَّبُهَا الْأَشْقَى {١١} |
11. but the reprobates will turn away |
| الَّذِي يَصْلَى النَّارَ الْكُبْرَىٰ {١٢} |
12. and suffer the heat of the great fire |
| ثُمَّ لَا يَمُوتُ فِيهَا وَلَا يَحْيَىٰ {١٣} |
13. wherein they will neither live nor die. |
| قَدْ أَفْلَحَ مَنْ تَزَكَّىٰ {١٤} |
14. Lasting happiness will be for those who purify themselves, |
| وَذَكَرَ اسْمَ رَبِّهِ فَصَلَّىٰ {١٥} |
15. remember the name of the Lord, and pray to Him. |
| بَلْ تُؤْثِرُونَ الْحَيَاةَ الدُّنْيَا {١٦} |
16. However, (the disbelievers) prefer the worldly life |
| وَالْآخِرَةُ خَيْرٌ وَأَبْقَىٰ {١٧} |
17. even though the life hereafter will be better and will last forever. |
| إِنَّ هَٰذَا لَفِي الصُّحُفِ الْأُولَىٰ {١٨} |
18. This is what is written in the ancient heavenly Books, |
| صُحُفِ إِبْرَاهِيمَ وَمُوسَىٰ {١٩} |
19. the Scriptures of Abraham and Moses. |
